Masthead
Cubed News is an independent news publication, founded in 2026 and published at cubednews.com. The masthead below lists the editors responsible for the publication and its eight desks. We name our newsroom because readers are entitled to know who stands behind the work they read, and to know whom to hold to account for it.
The masthead is the publication’s record of editorial responsibility. Each name below carries authority over what appears on its desk and answerability for it. The desks are listed in the order in which the publication presents its sections.
Editor-in-Chief
Adrian Cole — Editor-in-Chief. Adrian holds overall responsibility for the editorial direction and standards of Cubed News, has final say on what the publication publishes, and writes its cross-cutting editorials.
Section Editors
Each of the eight Cubed News desks is led by a dedicated editor with command of the subject.
Naomi Hartley — Politics Editor. Leads coverage of national and international politics, elections, governance and diplomacy, and is responsible for the publication’s reporting on the institutions and processes of power.
David Mensah — Business & Economy Editor. Leads coverage of markets, companies, finance and banking, startups and economic analysis, from corporate developments to the forces shaping household budgets.
Wei Chen — Technology Editor. Leads coverage of artificial intelligence, consumer and enterprise technology, cybersecurity and the digital policy that increasingly governs them.
Sofia Marchetti — World News Editor. Leads international reporting across the Americas, Europe, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and Africa, treating events beyond any single country as global stories.
Daniel Okoro — Health & Science Editor. Leads coverage of public health, medical research and healthcare systems alongside the climate, space and the life sciences, on a combined health-and-science desk.
Helena Brandt — Opinion & Analysis Editor. Commissions and edits the publication’s columns, editorials and long-form analysis, and ensures argued pieces are clearly labelled as opinion.
Iris Calloway — Lifestyle & Culture Editor. Leads coverage of culture, books and ideas, society and lifestyle features — the texture of how people actually live.
The team is distributed globally rather than housed in a single bureau, which keeps the publication close to the stories it covers and across more than one time zone. Bylines on individual pieces identify the writer responsible for that work; the editors above are responsible for the standards under which it appears.
Editorial Standards
All work published under the Cubed News name is held to the publication’s four standing rules: we do not fabricate facts, figures, quotes or sources; we publish only what is well established and verifiable; we do not claim reporting we have not done; and we cite the real institutions and outlets behind our factual claims. Cubed News is editorially independent, and no commercial relationship directs or influences its coverage. A fuller account of these principles is set out in our About Cubed News page.
