Write for Us
Cubed News publishes journalism and analysis for readers who want context, perspective, and a clear sense of what is at stake. We are always interested in strong writers — reporters, subject-matter experts, and thoughtful columnists — who can meet that standard. This page explains what we look for and how to pitch us.
What We Publish
We cover politics, business and economy, technology, world news, health, science, opinion and analysis, and lifestyle and culture. We are interested in well-reported explainers, rigorous analysis, and sharp opinion grounded in evidence. We value globally relevant ideas over parochial takes, and durable insight over chasing the news cycle. We do not publish thinly disguised marketing, listicles padded for clicks, or anything in categories we exclude on principle — gambling and betting chief among them.
Who We Look For
- Journalists who report, verify, and can show their working.
- Experts — researchers, practitioners, and specialists — who can explain their field clearly to an intelligent general reader and disclose any relevant interests.
- Opinion writers with a distinct, well-argued point of view supported by facts rather than assertion.
Our Standards
We hold contributors to the same standards as our staff. Specifically:
- Named bylines. We publish under real names. We do not run anonymous or pseudonymous pieces except in rare, clearly justified cases, and we ask contributors to stand behind their work.
- Rigorous sourcing. Claims must be supported, and significant facts should be attributable to named, verifiable sources. We do not accept fabricated statistics, invented quotes, or unsupported assertions.
- Original, human-written prose. We want your voice and your judgement. We do not accept machine-generated “AI prose” submitted as your own writing; tools may assist research, but the reporting, thinking, and writing must be yours.
- Accuracy and corrections. If we publish your work and an error emerges, you agree to work with us to correct it transparently.
- Disclosure. Tell us about any conflict of interest, funding, or relationship relevant to your topic.
What We Will Not Accept
To save everyone time, please do not pitch: gambling, betting, casino, or lottery content of any kind; cryptocurrency “get-rich” promotions or token shilling; affiliate-spam articles built around shopping links; undisclosed sponsored or paid-placement material; or pieces written primarily to plant a backlink. Submissions of this kind will be declined without further review.
How to Pitch
Send a short pitch — not a finished draft — to editorial@cubednews.com. A good pitch includes:
- A one-line summary of your idea and why it matters now or enduringly.
- The angle: what is new, surprising, or clarifying about your take.
- How you would report or support it, and which sources you would draw on.
- A note on who you are, your relevant expertise, and one or two links to previous work.
Please put “Pitch:” and your proposed headline in the subject line. We read every serious pitch, but the volume we receive means we cannot reply to all of them; if you have not heard back within a reasonable period, you are free to place the idea elsewhere. We may suggest edits, a different angle, or a different length, and all accepted pieces are edited and fact-checked before publication.
